We are looking for a “Market Logistic Manager” to work at our Belgium Head office located in Wavre.

Your challenges
Joining VELUX you will be a part of a dedicated team to improve and develop the logistics setup and solutions in Belgium / Holland / Luxembourg, supporting the Strategy of the company and with a focus on market insight & customers’ needs. You will also deliver operational excellence within the regional distribution whereby targets and customer satisfaction are met.
As a Market Logistic Manager you will facilitate collaboration between customers, LSP’s and internal stakeholders and colleagues within the market & global logistics, as well as leading & managing the collaboration with the Distribution Center (outsourced to a 3PL), based in Puurs.
Main responsibilities :
Ownership of the key logistics performance indicators with focus on OTIFNE, next to commercial ones such as cost and claims
Ensure continuous cost optimization of the logistics set-up with focus on lean processes
Ensure that sales forecasts and other information related to market activity are well integrated into planning
Drive and execute logistic initiatives focusing on improvements and customer value adds
Coordinate & collaborate with subject matter experts in the international organization to achieve planned projects, tasks and improvements
Take responsibility for local & regional logistic initiatives and perform related analysis and investigations
Provide input to the logistics organization on how to improve and develop with a focus on customer cost analysis
Responsible for several logistics suppliers in terms of quality, cost, performance & CI
Act as escalation point on operational logistic topics addressing and solving this with stakeholders
Develop logistics solutions with suppliers and customers, understanding customer needs while working closely together with the Global Logistics Sourcing Team
Analyse and understand customer demands and needs in terms of supply chain
Engage in the global matrix with other Market Logistics Managers to develop best practice
Monitor local regulations that may impact the logistics business and ensure business documentation is up to date
Your qualifications
You are energetic, resilient and commercially/results focused. You thrive in a role where you get to handle many different tasks in a day in close interaction with your colleagues. Therefore, you must have a flexible mindset and be willing to change and keeping your spirits up when you are in a hurry.
Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus
Master Degree
5 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
Experience with specific IT tools : SAP / Power BI / Excel
