Your skills and experience


  • Studies in some of the following areas: Telecom/ Network / Computer & Software Engineering / Electronics and Communication / Electrics and Electronics Engineering / Data Engineering
  • Excellent English skills: both verbal and written
  • Strong desire to learn & develop yourself professionally
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Kindly note that to be able to work as a trainee at Nokia, you must have ongoing studies and be located in Finland.

It would be also nice if you'd have some of the followings:


  • Proficiency in administering and managing Linux systems, including system configuration, customization, and performance monitoring.
  • First understanding of radio network technologies, protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related Linux, Database, TCP/IP and web protocols, Security and SSL/TLS
  • Familiarity with network management protocols, such as SNMP and NetConf, and with IP Net + Firewall configuration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex network issues and provide effective solutions.

What You Will Learn And Contribute To


  • Create lab topologies & documentation. Review & validate technical documents
  • Help with different activities like deployment, integration, acceptance tests etc.
  • Get involved in network automation projects.
  • Join the subject matter expert on Nokia NetAct, the operational support system (OSS) platform used for Radio (2G,3G,4G and 5G) and Core network monitoring and management.

  • Assist or execute installation and upgrade tasks for the Nokia NetAct, Administer and maintain the Nokia NetAct system, ensuring its availability, performance, and reliability.

  • Configure and customize the NetAct platform to meet the specific requirements of the radio and core network monitoring and management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network operations, engineering, and vendors, to ensure seamless deployment, integration and operation of the NetAct platform.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the NetAct system, minimizing network downtime.

  • Stay updated on the latest releases, patches, and updates related to Nokia NetAct, and perform system upgrades and enhancements as required.
