We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Mobile Patrol Officers for our Mobile Patrols team. The growing team currently has 8 full-time patrol officers, reporting to the Operations team. The role is a drive-in drive-out (DIDO) position and is responsible for proactively providing mobile night patrols in the Western Downs region.
As part of a 2-person patrol team, you will maintain detailed patrol logs and regular communications with static assets. The use of tablets, digital applications, DSLR cameras, and infrared cameras is also a key part of the role - so if you are looking to expand your digital skillset, this is a fantastic opportunity for you. You will need to be comfortable driving in the dark in extremely remote areas, with the assistance of your patrol partner, GPS systems, and communication with the watchkeeper.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Current Queensland Security License (unarmed, monitoring and Crowd Control).
- Open full driver's license, with the ability to drive manual vehicles.
- First Aid and CPR (must have renewed CPR within the last 12 months).
- Previous security experience (mobile patrol experience is desirable, but not essential).
- Comfortable driving in the dark, in extremely remote areas.
- Clear communication and good interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Willingness to use and learn new technology.
- Completion of an Operate Light Vehicle Certificate from 'Driven' or 'Harness' Registered Training Providers. If you don't have this, we will book and pay for you to complete this before you commence.
