Code Camp is Australia’s leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider! We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our creative-tech camps during the Spring school holidays.
Are you:
- Someone who enjoys working with kids (ages 6-12)?
- Passionate about technology and creativity?
- Trustworthy, independent, punctual and reliable?
- Able to work full days 8am - 4pm during the school holiday period (Monday 25 September to Friday 6 October 2023)
About the position:
- Work as a team to deliver our coding lesson plan to a small class of primary aged children - the kids will come away with their very own 2D or 3D games!
- We also offer Robotics + Web-Building camps
- Engage with the students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom - you will do one supervision duty per day.
- Keep in contact with Head Office if you have any questions or concerns
- Paid staff training provided!
Required Skills/Certifications:
Whilst we don’t require a specific degree or coding experience, you should have some of the following experience (or similar):
- Beginner coding knowledge (especially in javascript or scratch)
- Experience working with young kids
- Mature outlook, common sense and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside and outside the classroom
- Fluent conversational English
- Valid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Salary: $220.00 per day
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Experience:
- Teaching or IT: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
