Your Role


Introduction

Be a key contributor to the BeaconMedaes regional growth strategy, this position shall further expand our competence with regards to project execution and deliverables with regards to the medical gas system portfolio. You will provide high quality, timely and efficient service / support in Project Engineering / management by being responsible for project installations, testing & commissioning, support training needs. Aftermarket service support for Oxygen generator plants, centralized medical gas pipeline systems to our direct end customers and distributors under the Middle East, Africa & Central Asia BeaconMedaes region. This position reports to the Regional Technical & Operations Manager – Middle East.


Job description

  • To be responsible for the project engineering of various projects from conceptual and detailed design stage through Installation, performance testing, Commissioning, Handing Over, Training and After Sales Service.
  • To be able to interpret and trouble shoot service issues on Oxygen Generators, Air Compressors, Vacuum Systems, MGPS System.
  • To manage the Service Maintenance Program (PPM & Break down) of the installed base.
  • To provide customer service by anticipating and responding to customer queries
  • To prepare and supply documentation as required within the contract.
  • To be responsible for proper review and processing of variations and claims received from customer and factory.
  • To provide input of cost estimates if requested during bidding of projects.
  • To manage budget, procurement and schedules for the projects handled.
  • Manage a given project within the costs allocated without escalation & create avenues to save costs wherever possible.
  • To coordinate and participate in formal design and engineering reviews technical and commercial impact by customer and by factory.
  • To keep management posted on the project status.
  • To monitor the overall progress of projects against schedule and milestones reporting to management, as well as providing early warning of potential slippage, in case of the latter; propose remedial actions so that the contract completion data for the work is not jeopardized.
  • Travel for on-site projects.


  • Trainings of distributor and end user personnel, provide technical assistance,

introduction to local providers etc. within the Middle East area of coverage

  • Contribute to help the team to achieve the QMS MGS targets assigned by the Division.
  • To ensure all our direct people and those of our partners are working in a safe, predictable manner ensuring suitability at a high level.



To succeed, you will need

Educational requirements

Degree in Engineering (Mech / Elec / Instrumentation) with corresponding experience in the industry; preferably in Healthcare Industry.

Experience requirements

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in Installation and Troubleshooting of Oxygen Generator Plants, Medical Gas Installations and Equipment is an advantage. Experience of 5 Years
  • Competence in MS Office & familiarity with Auto CAD and ability to read and modify MGPS CAD Drawings
  • Has excellent Interpersonal skills & effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to read P&ID flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical drawings.


Knowledge & Competence

  • Good command (verbal and written) of English.
  • Knowledge of MGPS Standards HTM / NFPA / ISO will be an advantage.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered Solutions of any rotating /static packages.
