The Norfolk Hub requires a hardworking, adaptable, and enthusiastic Warehouse & Dispatch Operative to join our busy and growing team in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside.
Based at our warehouse in Smallburgh and reporting to our Operations Manager, your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Checking, picking, and packing orders for on-trade, off-trade, and the public.
- Assisting our team of drivers to load and unload our fleet of vans containing food and drink items safely and efficiently
- Processing, dispatching, and completing all web orders via the DHL online portals.
- Occasionally assisting drivers as a ‘Driver’s Mate’ on busy routes, with possible cover of driver hours where necessary.
- Sorting and storing food and drink items correctly.
- Assisting in regular inventory management tasks, such as stock takes and date checks.
- Ensuring the general upkeep of the warehouse space

Requirements:
- A valid UK/EU driving licence for a minimum of two years.
- Experience driving a van, and handling and delivering goods in a safe and timely manner
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a job in a warehouse environment (e.g., manual handling).
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment and handling food & drinks produce (including alcohol).
- Flexibility and willing to take on a variety of tasks as hours may vary (minimum 30 hours a week).
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.

The role best suits an outgoing, upbeat, and self-motivated individual who enjoys working systematically in a fast-paced environment. Also, candidates must be presentable and possess excellent IT, communication, literacy, and numeracy skills. Finally, a passion for East Anglia’s wonderful range of fine local produce would be an advantage!
