I am working with a client at the moment who is seeking for a Warehouse Manager. This company is a leading distributor, formulator and solutions provider in specialty chemicals and ingredients.
Along with the warehouse in VIC and a variety of 3PLS’s, the orchard Hill’s warehouse distributes chemicals and ingredients to customers throughout Australia.
About the role
Leading a team of 7, you will be responsible for managing warehouse activities to achieve safe, secure, and cost-effective receiving, storage, and dispatch of products. You will do this by the following:
- Supervising, and assisting where required, the unpacking of containers, and the inspection and receipt of products received
- Supervising, and assisting where required, picking/checking and dispatching of products.
- Arranging for carriers to meet customer delivery time requirements. Preparing the warehouse for stock-takes
- Recommending changes to warehouse procedures Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the warehouse
- Training and managing warehouse staff.
- Ensuring all warehouse activities comply with relevant legislation, ethical and OH&S standards, and company policies.
- Forklift licence is a must
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and ERP systems
- JD Edwards experience
