Core Responsibilities:As Senior Play Inventor in Play Discovery, you will create new and great, innovative physical playing experiences. You will go beyond the build and display to make the models come alive with new play, new features and functions by:
Facilitating innovation process from idea to shelf ready play opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams in Play Discovery Creative Play Lab (CPL), e.g., Inventors, prototyping, engineering, design team and students.
Translating ideas from workshops and play sessions to new playable prototypes for kids-test. Turn insights into directional briefs.
Building LEGO® sketch models design with 3D tools or handmade prototypes that can be evaluated.
Making next phase prototypes in right materials, realistic and feasible, and driving element phase together with engineering, including test molds and functional element test.

Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate is a creative playful wizard with an amazing portfolio. You have an experimental mentality and consistently seek evidence to check your opinions and beliefs with real consumers, knowing how to design experiments to avoid biases.
Combined with on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in design or mechanical engineering, you have great research skills and are trained to do prototyping of physical products.
Great at using 3D tools (such as NX, Rhinoceros 3D: Rhino, Solid Works, Fusion)
An innovative expert in translating ideas to playable prototypes and making them realistic for production
Skilled conceptual thinker highly qualified for understanding and translating system in play for LEGO®
Proactive and curious learner in consumer insights and comfortable with facilitating kid's test.
Experienced with agile methodology within prototyping, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
Communicates smoothly in English
